Information - Key Worker and Vulnerable Children criteria

Dear Parents & Carers,
The Government has asked schools to provide a safe place for children in the categories identified in the current guidance. Please click on the link within this section of our website for full details.
"Many parents working in these critical sectors may be able to ensure their child is kept at home.  Every child who can be safely cared for at home should be.  This is an offer to parents and carers and there is no requirement for parents and carers to send their child to school if they do not need or wish to do so" -  Closure of Educational Settings; Information for Parents and Carers.  19th March 2020.
We closed on Wednesday because we have significant staffing issues, not because we were closed today as directed by the Government. So our ability to respond to this request has additional challenges that Im sure you will appreciate, and I would like to thank you for your understanding.
We will be initially offering places to children in the most vulnerable categories (e.g. Education Health Care Plan) on Monday and will be contacting those parents directly today.
We will be asking parents who feel they are Key Workers to provide us details in order that we can process eligibility and safely provide care linked to our capacity and ability to do so safely, i.e. we will have to prioritise this.  Details to follow.
Information that will help us manage this process as fairly as possible will include: Parent role, number of key worker initially parents in each family, number of parents in each family, number of children in each family etc.  Exact details will be available on the information form to follow.
The school will not be open on Monday for all that may be eligible, but will be open for the most vulnerable initially.
