Here is a list of activities and websites to help keep the children busy and learning during the school closure.
- New reading books were sent home yesterday.
- Green keyring words – new words in bags. Please practice reading and spelling the words using Fred Fingers then writing them. The children could all benefit from learning to read tricky words by sight.
- Please find Set 2 sounds on sheet in their bags. Please cut up and practice them. We have covered ay, ee, igh, ow, oo so far but the children are familiar with some of the others. With all of the computer games below the children will be familiar with all set 2 sounds but you will have to select particular focus sounds on the menu from phase 3.
- Please reinforce:
Bronze maths rocket – count forwards to 20 and back to zero
Silver maths rocket – say 1 more and 1 less for any given number to 20.
Gold maths rocket – ordering numbers from 1-20 and double numbers to 10
- Any board game played with 2 dice to support quick addition skills.
