Classroom Teaching Assistant Level 2 Post

Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only, with 3 training days
*This post attracts the Newcastle Living Wage supplement. In addition to the hourly rate, this post will receive the Newcastle Living Wage supplement to bring the hourly rate up to a minimum of £9.90 an hour.*
The Governors of St John Vianney Catholic Primary School wish to appoint a Learning Support Assistant Level 2 on a fixed-term contract to initially work in Early Years /Key Stage 1.
St John Vianney Catholic Primary School (a member of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust) is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and inspirational Learning Support Assistant who enjoys working as part of a team.
This is an opportunity to support children mainly in Key Stage 1, either on a 1:1 basis, in small groups or in the classroom, working closely with class teachers, the SENDCo and the Head teacher to provide children with the highest possible quality of education.
The ideal candidate will be someone with experience of working in a similar role.
St John Vianney Catholic Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate shall be required to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure and a range of other recruitment checks.
